Schweinfurt - Concept for Street Furniture and Planting, Spitalstraße

Project Description
The main design principle is based on an even distribution of a new tree planting. The alternate line of trees forms a link of the rest area at the market square with Spitalstrasse. In addition to the functional lighting it creates another connecting element in the city centre of Schweinfurt. In line with these revaluation measures additional seating, new designed waste bins as well as bicycle stands and play objects are arranged. The main objectives of the concept are: to enhance transparency, to reduce the predominant appearance of the existing urban design and to focus on the perception of Spitalstrasse with its shop windows and sales rooms.
