The contents of the lighting masterplan were summarised in seven informative and communicable key issues. A design guideline "light" for the city centre of Düsseldorf was elaborated to determine the essence of the masterplan. The objectives of the masterplan were presented to the community with intense public relations effort. Weekly scheduled guided tours for interested citizen took place. The substance of the lighting masterplan was clearly and concretely explained during these tours.
